"What do you call a dog's fingers?"
- Susan. We started with paws, but realized that dogs' paws are the equivalent to human hands and feet. So what do you call their fingers and toes? I still don't know, so I'm calling on the power of the JennChantal.com braintrust to help answer this still-burning question.
They are all toes. We have four legs. We walk on all four legs with our feet. Fun fact! We actually walk on our toes, not the soles of our feet like people do. If you're further perplexed, think about this...we get our toenails clipped and only go into the salon for pedis, no manis. Hope this dog anatomy lesson has helped!

They're called "toes." I only know this b/c Berkeley got a burr in one of her's and had to have it excised. The vet called it a toe and that toe cost me about $200.
