What Pibb may not be aware of is a little known law of lending called the "move it/keep it" law. Under Move it keep it when you lend an item to someone they must give it back, UNLESS they move and bring it with them to the new place. The act of setting said borrowed items in new residence transfers ownership. Have any of the people he's loaned things to moved?
I was stunned when I learned of this rule, I had loaned a number of things to a friend who got a new place and told me I had given up my claim to the items. It was a harsh lesson to learn but a rule I follow to this day.
