2007 Resolutions

  1. Update JennChantal on a daily basis. I've decided to change the rules of the JennChantal game up a bit for 2007 and release the requirement for a photo a day. I have come to realize that the quotes are what drive the fans - not the photos of my day to day life. I had so many problems updating my blog in 2006 mainly because I felt the need to display a unique photo each day while living a very routine life. I mean, who really cares to see what groceries we bought or how my cube at work is set up or how I'm killing another plant? Without that photo a day monkey on my back, I resolve to open TypePad on a daily basis and post the sorts of witty, irreverent, smart, stupid, and/or ridiculous quotes you've come to expect during your visit.
  2. K.I.T w/ B.F.F.s. I got into this strange habit in 2006 of working hard instead of hardly working while on the job. Often I'd get so busy that I wouldn't be able to respond to personal email or even an Instant Message. And when I got home, I'd be so tired of staring at a computer that I would just flop in front of the tv and zone out until it was time for bed. For shame! This is NOT how my mother raised me. So, in 2007 I resolve to be a better friend to those that care about me and not only respond to emails but actually draft my own! And for those of you that actually like to keep it old school and talk on the phone, I resolve to call you every now and then and see how you are doing.
  3. Buy new clothes. This whole "mortgage" thing has really put a damper on my wardrobe budget. But I'm making it my goal to buy new clothes in 2007, even if it means defaulting on our loan and having our condo sold at a public auction. Damn it - at least I'll be well dressed!
  4. Teach Acey to be the smartest dog in the world. She learned her name the first day we got her, to sit within the first week, and recently learned how to wow an audience by playing Three Card Monty. Obviously, Jeff and I are superior puppy trainers. However, homeschooling is well and good until you realize that you've produced a brilliant, creepy, weird, antisocial, nerd. So, in 2007 I resolve to take Acey to puppy school and get her a real education - one that involves other puppy scholars so that she can become the most popular and pretty 4.0 student they've ever met.

Keep up the great work on #2 KIT-BFF! In the first two days of the year, I've received ten email replies from you! I think that's more than the last half of 2006. No original email drafts nor blowing up phones yet, but I'll take what I can get!

Good to know Acey will start going to school. Now I definitely have to keep my own resolutions to continue my education and make sure my little sister never surpasses me academically!

Like perhaps thwarting your younger sister from receiving a Masters degree before you do by bribing your school's administration to have your graduation ceremony a week before your sister's?

Yes, perhaps something like that. Although, I didn't see you go above and beyond and actually become The Administration in order to schedule the ceremony to be performed on your birthday...which would've put you a whole 2 weeks prior to mine. You snooze you lose.
